The Signs of Life
And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. – 1 John 5:11 NKJV.
Today in western Oklahoma we have a snowstorm, and it is beautiful! Everything is coming to a temporary standstill with the snow covering everything, slowing traffic and everything else. Some years in our area we will not see any snow and especially not as much as we are seeing today. But already I am looking forward to Spring when we will see the signs of life bursting out all around us!
Jesus is the Prince of Life. If Jesus has hold of your life, there may come some rare snowstorms that slow things in your life but eventually life will come to every area of your life.
Life will come to your heart: We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother abides in death. – 1 John 3:14 NKJV.
Life will come to your mind: And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent. – John 14:3 NKJV.
Life will come to your hands: Not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but as bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart, with goodwill doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men. – Ephesians 6:6-7 NKJV.
Life will come to our feet: Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage. – Galatians 5:1 NKJV.
Life will come to our use of material things: But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him? – John 3:17 NKJV.
Are the signs of eternal life obvious in you? If not ask of God that the Prince of Life, the Son of God, would give you life and give it to you abundantly in every area of your life.
